Bouqets, draped white seats, and music which befits an elegant setting, the Pronovias Bridal Wear show is set to begin. Pronovias is an internationally known Spanish brand, an elite one at that. I am not one to judge a book by its cover, but this is one good first impression, not to mention they welcomed us with pretty, yummy muffins (and a drink) from Cinnabon. That's enough to win me over. The music stopped. Is it about to start? After an introduction about Pronovias, the first look emerged. The model gracefully walked down the flight of stairs... The second held a Grecian vibe to it, one which always enthralls me. Each had a different kind of grace to bestow upon the audience. There was a notable number of dresses with a low-waist, definitely one of the highlighted trends this season. I can honestly say there was not one I wouldn't consider for my own wedding. The detail was beautiful.
The first look feautured a ruffled skirt, which was an allusion to the wave-like features we've seen through the Spring/Summer 2012 catwalks - at Givenchy, Chanel and Alexander McQueen, to say the least. Nevertheless it sustained the elegant touch suitable for a wedding.
Grecian and drapey. Exactly my cup of tea.
The low-waist - simplicity at its best!
This was one of my favourites, a dress modelled by Gaby Curmi, it was both classic and sensual. The lace detailing was exquisite, and being tiered it adds a subtle illusion of volume to the skirt.
