Next Season's Prints.

I took the day off yesterday - had some time to think a few things over, and enjoy a day of freedom before we all head back to Uni. I stand on my two feet - literally - while writing this post - because behind me there is white bed sheet on the floor with a pile of clothes, strategically strewn with the intention of planning a few outfits. After taking a look at what I had just laid out it dawned on me that I really am in the mood for nude shades, white and monochrome combinations.

[Side note: the black thin velvet hangers in the photo are a blessing - they maximise closet space, and they're so chic!]

Now back to the original subject of today's post... I find that the best part about Spring/Summer collections is the plethora of prints on show. There's always a print you can spot from a mile away and along with it the designer behind it. Like the banana print at Prada last Summer...

Next season will be perhaps the time I will actually like florals, because I'm not usually a fan. This season it's all about atypical prints, and pop-art with a hint of exotic - a return to the era of Gianni Versace and the bright tropics.

This season, prints aren't soft at all - it's all about what's bold.

Mary Katrantzou - Queen of Prints.

My favourite had to be the Peter Som maxi... actually the entire Peter Som collection was bliss - and very me.

ASOS clutch, Topshop asymmetric Aztec Print skirt,  River Island Print Scarf Dress, River Island Tropical Floral Dress, Topshop Bowler Jacket, Miss Selfridge Neon Print Knicker, ASOS espadrilles.
