Excuse my current bout of posts all related to designer shows. But it is New York Fashion Week after all. I just saw the 3.1 Phillip Lim show and LOVED it. Each season, there is something about the 3.1 Phillip Lim show which speaks to me. And this time it was no exception. A few might argue that Phillip Lim will never match Celine or that Wang and Phillip Lim are merely spin-offs of Phoebe Philo's designs at Celine. Well they won't - because no New York show matches up to the well-founded houses of Paris or Milan. But the talent should not be neglected.
The show opened with a crisp white coat and black and white pants ensemble, plucking at my heartstrings immediately.
I liked the knits paired with the trouser suits but I'm not a fan of intarsia prints (the kindof ethnic bi-colour print knits). The collection had a futuristic vibe to it. Phillip Lim mixed sheers with knits and rougher fabrics and added the femininity which was otherwise lacking. What didn't quite appeal to me was the white quilted coat.
And now I want white courts.
Work the FW2012/2013 Look:
TIP #1: Cigarette Pants - white, black or grey.
TIP #2: Steel-Collar your way out.
TIP #3: Opt for Monochrome.
TIP #4: Inject some Sheer.
TIP #5: Go for Pointed Courts.
Tomorrow's post will be an Outfit from the shoot - so be sure to check it out!

Phillip Lim keeps improving in the accessory line - and this collection gave us a few pieces worth the mention - particularly the mesh bag and the steel collars.
If I had to pick two -the following are my favourite looks from the entire show.

hello there

Welcome to my fashion & personal style blog.
This is my place to vent about anything fashion-related. Sometimes exuding a style-tip or two, other times I simply jot random fashion thoughts, aka my personal fashosophy.
Coined the term ' fashosophy', and quirky elegance is my thing.
