Nude Obsessions

Nude is quickly becoming one of favourite tones lately - And it seems to be formulating into an avid obsession. My mum noted my tendency to go for nude shades earlier (I think that was as early as summer!) - she noticed before I did that I head towards nude colours when shopping. Only now I realise how true this was. My 'preferential treatment' towards nude, so to speak,  is evident in most of my polyvore sets, as you might have noticed. In fact, there have been a few others who have remarked on this regard. [As a side note - please do excuse my constant need to give evidence and backup every single thing I say - I am studying law after all! ]

Last Monday, being the official start of the biggest sales, I went sale shopping - alone (I prefer to shop alone during sales...) with the intention of buying a pair of nude shoes. They were, shockingly missing from my wardrobe. I couldn't find the perfect pair of nude heels earlier. Most of them were too pretty - and 'pretty' (almost anything involving bows) isn't my kind of thing. I didn't want the usual plain heeled pumps either because I knew they'll bore me eventually and I'll have to start looking all over again.

Nude ankle boots are what I had in mind...
Nude Boot Love

Maison Martin Margiela knee high boots, £395
Maison Martin Margiela leather boots, $645
Azzedine Alaia suede boots, €810
Chloé leather boots, £630
Reed Krakoff lace up wedge booties, $223
Givenchy leather boots, £369
Cacharel leather boots, $581
Azzedine Alaia suede boots, €810

And that's exactly what I find -

I'm so happy with it - the black and gold zipper on the back makes it all the more perfect and unique!
These beauties are from ZARA - the price wasn't as ideal as I'd hoped (around 62 euro) but they're still a good deal - the quality is good and they might even be better-looking than the Maison Martin Margiela ones (on sale for $537 - click here) on the polyvore set I've posted here.

I did buy some other stuff - including black suede ankle boots from MANGO (yes, I know ankle boots again! My love for them is visualised in this post.) Among my buys there were also a pair of Mango aviator sunglasses for eur10 which I thought was a pretty good deal, a pin-striped ZARA shirt (quite similar to a men's shirt) and a grey hat from Stradivarius. You'll be seeing all of these later on in outfit posts ;)

Speaking of nude - I think I might have just decided which shades to redecorate my room in! As much as I loved the combination of aqua and lilac when I decorated my room almost 7 years ago, I do think it's time for a change. The stool pictured here is part of the impending transformation...(it also featured in one of last April's posts - click here).

Much love
